    In Oregon, 1,983 people committed to do their part to end hunger in America as part of WeCanEndThis.com’s digital can drive contest. As a result, Tyson Foods donated more than 30,000 pounds of much-needed protein to Oregon Food Bank.

    Cathy Miller, Senior Director of Marketing at Burgerville presented a $10,001 check to Oregon Food Bank, a donation based on proceeds from sales of its Pickled Pepper Cheeseburger, a featured menu item in March and April.

    OFB launches community portion of OFB West capital campaign

    July 1, 2010

    Two major donations helped Oregon Food Bank kick off the community portion of its capital campaign for OFB West. The Spirit Mountain Community Fund donated $50,000 to the campaign at OFB's board meeting on June 30. Kathleen Tom, tribal council secretary of the Confederated Tribes of Grande Ronde, blessed the new building. In addition, Leslie Garcia of the Oregon Community Foundation presented a $75,000 check to support the campaign.

  • 2010 Letter Carriers Food Drive sets a record

    The 2010 Letter Carriers Food Drive set a new record, collecting 1,711,519 pounds throughout Oregon and Clark County, Wash., in just one day, OFB announced today. That’s a 6.6 percent increase over the number of pounds (1,605,693) collected in 2009. In addition, the drive raised $98,561.
