Local governments help raise awareness during September's Hunger Action Month

This September, Oregon Food Bank and Metro area governments unite to raise awareness of the thousands of Oregonians who struggle with hunger. It’s part of a nationwide campaign in recognition of Feeding America’s Hunger Action Month – a month-long campaign to help end hunger in our community. 

Participating in Hunger Action Month is an opportunity to join a movement that has a real and lasting impact on Oregon Food Bank's efforts to feed Oregonians experiencing hunger.


September 2, 2014 - Washington County Board of Commissioners proclaimed September Hunger Action Month, recognizing the great need of our food-insecure neighbors in Washington County.

September 3, 2014 - At today's Portland city council meeting, they issued a proclamation for Hunger Action Month in the City of Roses!
