Thank lawmakers for passing anti-hunger policies and urge them to go further

In response to the rising rates of hunger and federal cuts to food assistance, our communities rallied to pass policies that move us closer to ensuring everyone has the food we need to thrive.

As a result, Oregon lawmakers passed key policies that protect our communities and help address the root causes of hunger, including:

• Protecting and strengthening SNAP
• Supporting refugees and asylees
• Increasing the Earned Income Tax Credit
• Advancing a strong response for immigrant justice

While we're celebrating these wins, we're also disappointed that two important anti-hunger policies did not pass this session:

• School Meals for All
• Investments in Oregon's Food Assistance Network. 

Please join us in thanking our lawmakers for passing these critical anti-hunger policies and urging them to go further to help end hunger in Oregon.

We're committed to continuing the work still needed to make sure everyone in Oregon can have the food we need to thrive.
